Get more from your solar.

Battery storage can capture surplus solar generation for use later, helping you use more of the electricity your panels produce. We can assess battery options for an existing solar PV installation or design solar and storage together.

Compatibility, usable capacity and charge and discharge power all matter. We discuss those details before recommending equipment.

No solar panels? You still have options.

A standalone battery can charge during cheaper off-peak tariff periods and supply stored electricity later in the day. We have installed many systems for customers who do not have solar panels.

The amount of demand you can shift depends on your usage, tariff, battery capacity, charging window and system losses. We explain the practical limits rather than promise that every unit of electricity will be bought at the night rate.

Backup power, designed in.

Where suitable equipment and system design allow, a gateway and compatible battery system can provide whole-home or selected-circuit backup during a grid outage.

Backup is a specified feature, not a standard capability of every battery. We agree the circuits, power requirements and expected operating time with you at the design stage.

Discuss certification when requesting your quote.

SPJ Electrical Ltd holds MCS certification for battery storage. If you require MCS certification for a standalone battery project, please make this clear at quotation stage so we can confirm the certification arrangements and applicable scheme requirements before you proceed.
